‘Giants’ are desperate to get an injury-free season

Giants boss David Furner is hopeful a tough second half of the season can turn around their season.
The season is already struggling with injuries and they will be without three key players from last season.
New Zealand prop Matt De Boer is injured and has been ruled out for two months with a knee injury, while former All Blacks prop Dan Carter has a calf injury.
The Giants will face a major test this weekend when they play host to the Brumbies in the opening match of the 2017 season.
It is not known how many games the club will play this year, but it is likely to be a lot.
