Hawaiia ad firm DDB, which specializes in selling to the “American Idol” franchise, is touting the product as an “American way” to sell a Hawaii brand, according to a report in the Honolulu Star-Advertiser.
Hawaii ad firm has been selling Hawaii products to “American” Idol contestants in New York, Los Angeles, Los Gatos, California, and Seattle, according the report.DDB is promoting “Hawaii Way” as a way to reach a large number of people, according one of the ad men who is selling the product to “The Americans” cast members.
Hawkins Way is also being marketed as an alternative to a Hawaiian-based company, according DDB.
Dabbs Hawaii product is being sold through the website www.hawkinsway.com, and it features a Hawaiian flag on the package.
Hawkinese way is also selling for $25 to $40 on DDB’s website.
